In his opening remarks, Association Chairman, Elder Edet Okpo, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of creativity, innovation, and digital mastery in today’s media landscape. He acknowledged Senator Ekong Sampson’s contributions to capacity development in the district and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to responsible journalism.

Dr. Essien Ndueso, Senior Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Research and Documentation, himself the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, noted that media practice has evolved into a viable revenue-generating profession. He commended Elder Okpo for his vision and hard work in organizing the seminar.
